3DFX
Voodoo 1
Problem:
I don't seem to have a "glide" option listed
as an available mode in Diablo II.
Solution: Some earlier models of the Voodoo I card
do not have enough Video memory to support the 3D features
in Diablo II. Your card will require 8 megs of Video Ram
on the card to be used in Diablo II.
3DFX
Voodoo 3
Note:
There are 2 different drivers for this card. One is for
use with Direct X 6.x and one is for use with Direct X
7.0. Please make sure you have the correct driver installed.
Problem:
- The
drivers that come with Windows 2000 DO NOT have glide
support.
- The
new drivers on 3DFX's site have glide support, but
have a problem with color cycling.
Solution: This problem is currently being looked
into by 3DFX. Check back later for any updated information.
3DFX
Voodoo 2
Problem:
The reference drivers appear to have a problem Alt-Tabbing
to Windows and back into applications.
Workaround: Installing the Beta release drivers
version 3.03.00 from 3DFX's web site prevents you from
Alt-Tabbing. Ctrl-Esc works to minimized the application
and bring up the start menu. At that point you can click
on the icon on the taskbar to bring up the minimized application
again.
Problem:
I don't seem to have a "glide" option listed
as an available mode in Diablo II.
Solution: This is caused by a corrupt or improper
install of the latest 3dfx Glide Drivers for the Voodoo2
card. Uninstall your current glide drivers, delete any
.ini files in the c:\windows\inf\other\ folder which
pertain to 3dfx and reboot. Upon starting up it will
prompt you for drivers for the new device, point to
the latest drivers you downloaded.
3DFX
Voodoo 2 Banshee
Problem:
I don't see the hirling health bar, or my stamina bar.
Solution: This is caused by a corrupt or improper
install of the latest 3dfx Glide Drivers for the Voodoo2
card. Uninstall your current glide drivers, delete any
.ini files in the c:\windows\inf\other\ folder which pertain
to 3dfx and reboot. Upon starting up it will prompt you
for drivers for the new device, point to the latest drivers
you downloaded from 3dfx at http://www.voodoofiles.com.
Also get the latest version of Direct
X 7.0 and 8.0.
