common task for people working with CD duplication and replication is the verification that the image mastered is the same as the result of the duplication. There are a number of techniques that are in use for this today, but most of these involve comparison of the files on the disc. Since each file must be opened individually and may not be arranged on the disc in the same order that the directory is in, this can take quite a bit of time.
CD-R Verifier uses a different technique and is able to produce results in far less time. With a 32x CD-ROM drive and at least a 200Mhz processor, a CD can be scanned in as little as 3 minutes.
CD-R Verifier produces a signature by reading every byte recorded on the disc. The signature is a 128-bit value that accounts for even minor changes in the disc content.
CD-R Verifier is distributed electronically only. The copy that is available for download is a DEMONSTRATION of the actual program and does not produce actual signatures. We are offering this demonstration version, which does read from the CD, so that you can verify this program will work with your hardware configuration and does what you are interested in doing. If you find the program to be useful, you can purchase the full version which will then be sent to you via email. Some sales agents also offer the opportunity to immediately download the full version - we are working to expand this availability.
