n 1993 four game developers of Massive Development, together with Helmut Halfmann thought up an extremely hostile and dangerous under water world of the earth in the 27th century.
In view of the inestimable amount of science fiction products, whose stories take place in space, they decided to "descend" into the still innocent deep sea basins. The result of research and basework which took several months is an apocalyptic scenario of the extra-class. After mankind has made the surface of the earth uninhabitable, the rest of civilization retires into the oceans, whose surfaces are sealed with a fourty metre thick layer of dead organic particles. Down here rigorous fights about power are raging in the gigantic deep sea cities. Pirates, adventurers and mercenaries are crusing the seas of a fantastic, detailled and exactly researched suboceanic world. The plans and efforts of the game developers reached their first climax in 1996: The international computergame-success "Schleichfahrt"
