asicly the same as demo 1 just a smaller download this time.
Sierra's soon-to-be released Ground Control joins the ranks of Real-Time-Strategy games in an attempt to usurp your free-time. Upon booting, Ground Control places the gamer in the 25th century on a hostile planet in a far-flung sector of god-forsaken space. Youíre not in Kansas anymore.
In GC, the gamer takes the role of Major Parker, the put-upon commander of the Crayven Corporationís personal army. Major Parker is constantly faced with unfulfilled troop requisitions and an overbearing and callous boss, Enrica. If only those were the worst of Parkerís problems. The Crayven Corporation isnít alone on the ball of mud they are trying to control. At every turn, Major Parker comes face-to-face with the army of the Order of the New Dawn, a militant religious group, and the reason Parker should stay in bed in the morning.
The focus in GC is not only upon strategy and placement of the correct amounts of the correct types of troops (read: APCs, grunts, jets, tanks, assault vehicles) on the correct terrain, but also upon revealing the backstory and finding the truth as to why two such disparate groups of people should fight over the same seemingly worthless piece of land.
Advanced AI and challenging battles lead the gamer on over 30 missions in a beautifully rendered environment which may be viewed from any possible angle for the best ringside seat to the battlefield. As an added bonus for the RTS-impaired (something I myself am guilty ofÖ..) there is a very helpful disembodied voice tutorial that is interactive and proceeds at whatever speed the gamer needs.
